Our Mental Health Area’s of Interest—
Grief and Loss
Grief can take many forms. Whether you're navigating the death of someone you love, complicated grief, traumatic loss, or a significant life change, therapy can provide space to process what has happened and explore how to live alongside loss.
Trauma
Trauma can affect how we understand ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. A trauma-informed approach can provide a safe, supportive space to process difficult experiences and explore their ongoing impact.

Jennifer Apley, MSW, LICSW, (“Jen”) brings nearly 17 years of experience in medical and hospice social work to her work as a Minnesota mental health therapist. Her professional journey has given her a deep understanding of illness, loss, grief, trauma, and the challenges individuals and families can face during difficult seasons of life.
Jen's approach is relational, person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. She believes therapy should be a place where you can show up as you are—without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out.
Her own experience with profound loss has also shaped the way she understands grief and the importance of being genuinely seen and supported. She brings both professional knowledge and lived experience to her work while honoring that every person's story is different.
